Hello there! This blog features the occasional ramblings of someone who likes travel, foreign culture, and pretending he can afford the Good Life.
I started traveling annually on holiday about 35 years ago but I began traveling full-time more recently. I sold off everything – the house, the car, all that excess stuff – and committed to the nomadic lifestyle. I had a few successful careers, in stage lighting and in computers, and am glad to have escaped alive.
Now I’m what’s known as a “senior nomad” – a retired person with no fixed address, who lives around the world. The pandemic arrived in 2019 and the ensuing travel restrictions have slowed me down a bit, but they haven’t stopped me. Now I live for good friends, good food, good art, and the freedom to enjoy them all.
Thanks for following along.
